SECEUR assists non-profit organizations to achieve their goals and guide them to become efficient and effective. I worked as a consultant for two projects. For my first project I worked in a team of four for the organization Maaszicht, who helps young adults who are homeless and have a range of different problems. Their social impact on society was reported with the goal to keep receiving (more) subsidiaries. For the second project I was a team leader in a team of five. This project was also for the organization Maaszicht with as main question how they could improve their communication and image. After interviews with employees of Maaszicht and different stakeholders we adviced Maaszicht on how to improve their image and communication and how to handle conflict situations.

In this project research is conducted for Dutch companies in emerging markets, which was Vietnam in the year I participated. Between October and December several pre-researched were conducted. In the period January to April I identified potential customers, developed research proposals for companies who showed interest and discussed our proposals with customers. Together with one colleague we got the assignment for the company Acta Marine. This company provides maritime services and owns and operates workboats for coastal and inland waters. In the report, the attractiveness of Vietnam concerning the business of Acta Marine was the focal point, with a particular spotlight on the dredging and marine construction and the offshore energy industry. After research in Vietnam a report was presented to Acta Marine with our findings and recommendations if there is a market in Vietnam.

Food & Beverage Management Trainee, as part of my Hotelschool education, in a luxury 5 star resort, member of the Leading Hotels of the World. In this function I assisted the Food & Beverage Director in managing 5 restaurants, bar, room service and the banqueting department. Besides the day-to-day operation I was responsible to develop and implement changes to improve the service. This was mainly achieved by implementing changes in the procedures and developing training material for the Food & Beverage staff. I was also accountable for the planning and execution of events, such as the New Year party for 500 guests.
