Responsible for GAIN Nigeria’s wider influencing agenda and ensuring interventions led by GAIN and its different partners are coordinated so that overall project and policy goals are met.

The Agents for Citizen-driven Transformation (ACT) Programme, designed by the EU as its response strategy on the need to invest and engage more with the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Nigeria. The assignment involves supporting and strengthening of institutional mechanisms, capacity, structures and processes aimed at improving the internal, external and programmatic environments of selected CSOs, networks, and coalitions as agents for sustainable development in Nigeria.

Responsible for developing and directing the implementation of the strategy to ensure achievement of objectives of the Chamber while ensuring and managing the growth and development of the Chamber. ▪ Revamped the Chamber and improved its efficiency and service delivery to members leading to a 60% increase in member engagement within 12 months of being on the job. ▪ Improved the Chamber’s visibility via regular programs and active use of new media. ▪ Grew the Chambers revenue by 53% in my first 11 months on the job. ▪ Improved stakeholder engagement and advocacy with various arms of state and federal government ▪ Worked on and significantly contributed to the AGOA National Utilisation Strategy for Nigeria. ▪ Successfully engaged various partners to improve capacity of local SMEs to position them strategically to take advantage of export opportunities especially under AGOA. ▪ Spearheaded the commencement of business support services for US based businesses seeking business linkages in Nigeria and vice versa. ▪ Improved engagement with the US Commercial Section and other US Agencies in Nigeria to foster collaborations and support towards improving bi-lateral trade between both countries. ▪ Spearheaded the holding of monthly breakfast meetings by the Chamber as a platform for discussions of topical business issues, knowledge sharing, advocacy, networking and improvement of government/private sector relationship. ▪ Successfully organised 3 world class exhibitions showcasing made in Nigeria products and services, attracting local and international buyers thereby boosting access to market for growing businesses especially in the agribusiness, garments and apparel sectors.
