In my PhD project I focused on the genetic causes of aortic aneurysms. This involved investigating the molecular mechanisms that are involved in the development of aortic aneurysms, identification of new gene mutation and functional characterization of candidate genes.Learning more about aortic aneurysms and how they develop is important for identication.

As a sales employee at the backery I interacted with customers and I was responsible for orders and organization of the store.

By knocking down p73 in multiple Ewing sarcoma cell lines I investigated which signaling pathways are affected by p73 and which chemotherapeutic treatments work well in these cells.Skills: cell culture, lentiviral transduction.

'The effect of BMP2 and BMP4 on PPAR gamma activated adipogenesis'During this internship I investigated if differentiation towards fat cells (adipocytes) is increased when progenitor cells are exposed to BMP2 and BMP4. The ultimate goal was to identify factors that increase differentiation to fat cells and if this can be stopped.Skills: cell culture.
