I am a Postdoctoral researcher & Bridging Excellence fellow between EMBL (Edith Heard lab) and Stanford University (Howard Chang lab). My interest lies in understanding the molecular basis of (chromosome-wide) gene silencing and deciphering the specific features of gene silencing susceptibility using molecular genetics, genomics and perturbation approaches. As a scientist, I am a highly-motivated, rigorous, well organised, curious, extremely efficient and detail-oriented team player. Early 2021, I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation called "Functionally Dissecting The Regulatory Genome Of Paralogous Cardiac Gene Clusters" at the department of Medical Biology, Amsterdam UMC, location AMC (Vincent Christoffels lab).
