Hello! I’m Joyce, Director of Talent Strategy at one of the highest performing school districts in the city of Houston. Under the leadership of the Chief Talent Officer, I ensure team initiatives are kicked off in alignment with organizational goals, that HR is leveraging data to inform our work, and that I’m strategically planning with our leadership team 3-5 years ahead based on growth and other factors. Here are some of my superpowers: * Analytical: I create Power BI reports for your survey data or diversity reports and present actionable insights to C-Suite and executive leadership.* Effective change agent: Implementing a new system or initiative? I’ll map out a communications plan and train those impacted through the change.* Ingenuity: I have the will, and find the way. With whatever resources are at hand, I can whip together a slide deck or one-pager or collaborate with you to get your project to the finish line. * Encyclopedia: My colleagues could ask me, “what do you know about X?” They can count on me to bullet point facts from the top of my mind or use resources to investigate and quickly get answers. Regarding my education and credentials, I have an M.A. in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am also SHRM-SCP and SPHR-certified, Birkman certified, Crucial Conversations certified, and obtained an HR Analytics certificate from Cornell University.
