Six direct reports.● Role expanded to include Advanced Quality Engineers to lead APQP activities for new product development of hybrid cells and battery systems and to work with OEM customers on PPAP requirements.● Product Testing - Identified the need to begin product testing (cell, module, system) to obtain the data we would need to sell the product to OEMs. Given the responsibility to establish a test team and to purchase the appropriate test equipment. As our testing needs expanded to include hybrid system testing it became evident that I needed to hire test engineers and a supervisor and build a test facility to accommodate the growing need for testing. Facilitated the approval and building of a $1.5M test facility (5,000 sq feet) and purchase of over $2M in capital equipment for reliability and durability testing with abuse testing outsourced to a local company.● Facility Safety - Identified the need to ensure facility safety due to our work with hazardous chemicals and high voltage batteries. Hired a Safety Manager to implement weekly safety audits, to implement a high voltage training program, to implement 5S and to ensure that our labs operated in a safe manner.
