As part of the Great Eastern Management Associate Programme, I joined as a fresh graduate (MA) and undergo a 2.5 years structured leadership programme that aims to develop the future leaders of Great Eastern. In my career with Great Eastern, I had the opportunity to rotate within the different functions of the Company, balancing between Front-end Business division as well as Support Departments, before landing at Group Human Capital to continue pursuing my passion as a HR Practitioner. Within the team, I specialized in managing and executing key corporate-wide HR projects and employee engagement initiatives, including the design and delivery of numerous employee recognition systems and awards, and liaising with top management in CEO Dialogues. I was also responsible for the identification of learning and development needs for staff, and facilitated the Actuarial, Underwriting and Insurance-specific exams (LOMA) and training within the Company while actively championing for continuous education in the workplace. In addition, I served as the HR Relationship Manager for our Brunei office (GELB), where I established a Payroll system, as well as charted key employee benefits and formalized/ standardized various employment policies for Brunei context.
