My background includes higher education in New York in Fashion Design / Apparel Production Management. I felt a creative trait very early that lead me to focus on design work and it became evident that I would thrive in a field where I could balance the aesthetic and the process needed to create it. It was the first company, a manufacturer, I worked with that showed me the importance of quality --if our customers were satisfied with the quality of our products, they would become repeat customers. Exiting the corporate world, my husband and I launched our own business providing apparel and accessories sales and merchandising consulting services to numerous clients. We ran a successful business for several years until the economy changed in 2008. This time I shifted gears to work in women's apparel for Boston Proper (a division of Chico’s FAS at the time) in product development and sourcing.As Senior Merchant for Levenger, I manage the category assortment through the product lifecycle. Market trend research, competitive analysis, as well as data analysis and customer reviews provide insights to design and development of the assortment.
