I led the legal and regulatory elements for the privatisation of the Nigeria electricity power sector, unbundling the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) into a series of 18 successor companies, including generation and distribution companies that covered all 36 Nigerian states and a national power transmission company.

As a member of the ICRC board, I was an active contributor to the design of the end-to-end framework for the management of the public–private partnership in Nigeria. This included the development of a governance framework and processes, that are still in use today, for the structuring and financing of PPP contracts across 12 states, which have delivered circa 30% operational efficiencies across different sectors in the country.

I oversaw legal and regulatory matters for the Joint Development Authority, established to regulate a joint development zone alongside the maritime border of Nigeria and São Tomé.
