Responsible for managing Human Resource programs within the company that include guidance, problem solving and providing information to District Managers, Store Managers and store personnel for the Southern California, Oregon, Idaho and Utah markets. Management in areas of employee relations that consists of performance management issues, corrective actions and performance appraisals. Provide support for store operations in recruiting, staffing, succession planning, compliance and worker’s compensation.• Provided support and trouble shooting for all candidates nationwide applying to jobs through the Cost Plus World Market ATS system.• Facilitated roll down of key Company messages to field organization through meeting presentations, conference calls and individual follow up.• Partnered with corporate affiliates in areas of HRIS, LOA, Legal, ADA, Benefits and Worker’s Compensation to resolve complex investigations.• Prepared all manual background checks (not captured through ATS) and prepared reporting for hiring managers company wide.• Conducted hands-on high profile investigations of complaints made through the hotline to reduce risk of legal exposure including ADA accommodation, sexual harassment, social media policy violations and bullying. • Modified an existing leadership assessment program for metro markets to be performed and conducted in remote locations.
