I am a fourth-year undergraduate student in the Environmental Science (Co-op, Honours) program at the University of Manitoba. My focus area is environmental assessment and I am also pursuing a minor in Indigenous Studies. My primary interests are two-eyed seeing, impact assessment, sustainability, and community engagement! My pronouns are she/her or elle/la and I communicate primarily in English, as well as Mandarin and French.In addition to my studies, I am the Chair for the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association Student Chapter, Co-Chair for the University of Manitoba Wetlanders and the Senator for the Society of Earth Science and Environmental Students/Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources.Throughout my career, I’ve been heavily involved with Ducks Unlimited Canada as a general volunteer, a member of their Youth Advisory Council, and as a Nature Interpreter. I have also had the opportunity to dabble in the consulting industry with Narratives Inc. where I worked with many Indigenous communities in Northwest Ontario on projects relating to Residential Schools, impact assessment, and family law. My most recent experiences have been within the federal government where I have taken on co-op positions with the Canada Water Agency as a Junior Policy Analyst for the Indigenous Engagement and Partnership team as well as the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada as a Junior Impact Assessment Officer for the Prairie and Northern Region’s Operations Sector.Outside of academics and work, I enjoy hiking, travelling, and socializing.
