I specialise in company and commercial law, particularly mergers and acquisitions, international corporate transactions and corporate re-organisations but also providing business law advice and assisting clients in their day to day business by drafting and negotiating contracts including outsourcing arrangements, operating agreements, agency / distribution contracts and terms and conditions of business.I advise clients in relation to company law compliance, corporate governance, policy and structural issues and also the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime and assisting them in carrying out the necessary due diligence required to comply with the regime and also advising them in relation to on-going compliance.In the area of Charities Law, I advise charitable and not-for-profit organisations and their officers on the issues affecting them including; preparation of governing documents, assisting with applications for registering with the Charities Regulatory Authority ,Revenue Charitable exemption, advising on governance issues, fundraising matters and on the implications and obligations of the Charities Act, 2009 for charities. I am also a former Chairperson of the Business Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.
