About me I acquired a Master of Laws from KU Leuven in 1997. In 1998 I obtained a Master of Advanced Study in Business and Economic Law from the Sorbonne. I later undertook a Master’s in Finance at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella of Buenos Aires from 2001 to 2002. From 1998 to 1999, I worked as a corporate lawyer at Stibbe.From 1999 to 2000, I served as a legal advisor to the Minister-President of Flanders. From 2003 to 2004, I worked as deputy chief of staff for the Federal Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, later on as head of the Real Estate Section for the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance (2008 to 2011), as deputy chief of staff and special advisor to the Minister of Justice (2012 to 2014), and as chief of staff to the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs (2014 to 2018). In 2019, I joined the Belgian Chamber of Representatives (commissions Finance and Budget, Police and Intelligence Services, Constitutional and Institutional Reform.) I was the head of the Iran and Afghanistan section of the IPU, and a substitute member of the parliamentary assembly of the OSCE. Furthermore I managed the sale and reconstruction of the Belgian embassy in Tokyo from 2006 to 2008 . I worked as a manager for the European Plastic Converters (2002 to 2003) and as their legal director (2005 to 2006). I was a member of the board of directors for the following state-owned companies: FIF/FSI (2004 to 2011), SOPIMA (2008 to 2011) and the National Lottery (2018 to 2019). I am also a member of the advisory board at online career platform Karamel.One. In July of 2022, I became the CEO of Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT).
