EDIBLE OILS EXTRACTION, REFINERY & PACKAGING - BY PRODUCTSI was responsible for the analysis of raw materials (packaging material, ingredients and chemicals), in process checks (quality control), finished product analysis (quality assurance) and water analysis (raw, treated and effluent). I also participated in ensuring Food safety and Environmental management systems compliance by conducting internal audits and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE SBU (Jams and marmalades, fruit and vegetable canning)• New product development• Development and modification of product formulations• Carry out pilot and commercial scale trials• Chemical, microbiological and physical analysis of finished products• Setting up and conducting sensory evaluation sessions on finished products• Designing of trial formulation sheets and sensory evaluation forms• Shelf-life tests on retention samples (room temperature and incubated samples)• Assess feasibility of methods• Modification of existing products• Troubleshooting• Suitability tests of packaging material for use during our processing methods•Instrumentational analysis including pH meter, refractometer• Sourcing of raw materials•Knowledge of QMS• Preparation of detailed summary reports using Microsoft packages
