Responsible for the hiring, training, managing and mentoring of Accounts Payable Staff. Responsible for directing the operational functions of the department, including invoice processing for 22 Huber locations in North America, T&E expense reporting and auditing, financial disbursements and exception resolution. Identify and manage the implementation of operational improvements to streamline and improve the efficiencies of our current processes to increase productivity. Prepare and/or review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable registers to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Work closely with accounting, purchasing and plant personnel to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and payments. Led company in two major software conversions.

Responsible for managing the daily operation of the Accounts Payable department. Supervise Accounts Payable staff including hiring, training, assigning & directing work and performance evaluations. ensure integrity and accuracy of invoices processed and adherence to internal controls and AP policies & procedures. 130,000 invoices processed annually. Assist with the maintenance of supplier master files, act as backup for payment cycle processing. Work with sectors on special projects relating to AP process. Provide support to AP Manager on various projects.

Assumed all responsibilities and duties in the absence of a Division Manager. Lead the division by taking charge and initiating action, directing the activities of individuals toward the accomplishment of stated divisional goals. Maximized effectiveness in group and team situations, planning conducting and participating in meetings to improve group processes. Implemented quality improvement processes for all measurements related to customer service efficiency. Managed all logistics functions to include delivery and warehouse and responsible for all Division operations. Manage a safe work environment while maintaining all safety requirements. Conducted monthly safety meetings and reviewed safety incident reports as necessary. Played a critical role during the consolidation of the xpedx Macon/xpedx Atlanta merger. Reviewed Cost of Goods Sold and Operational Expenses monthly for the entire Southern Group which consisted of 15 xpedx locations. Monitored purchase price variances and cleared up close to 2 million dollars in goods receipts not yet invoiced. Led division in two major software conversions.

Responsible for purchases and inventory control of over 1500 line items valued at $1.5 million in stock. Maintained forecast, generated purchase orders, moved overstocks and obsolete inventory, worked closely with sales on new item set up and determined stock levels. Managed annual inventory procedures, reconciled inventory discrepancies and prepared inventory valuation packages. Received letter of appreciation from South Central Region Purchasing Manager for moving $36,792 of obsolete merchandise during Purchasing Contest. Maintained DIOH (Days Inventory on Hand) of 29 days.
