Conducted monthly safety meetings and reviewed safety incident reports as necessary. Played a critical role during the consolidation of the xpedx Macon/xpedx Atlanta merger. Reviewed Cost of Goods Sold and Operational Expenses monthly for the entire Southern Group which consisted of 15 xpedx locations. Monitored purchase price variances and cleared up close to 2 million dollars in goods receipts not yet invoiced. Led division in two major software conversions.

Responsible for purchases and inventory control of over 1500 line items valued at $1.5 million in stock. Maintained forecast, generated purchase orders, moved overstocks and obsolete inventory, worked closely with sales on new item set up and determined stock levels. Managed annual inventory procedures, reconciled inventory discrepancies and prepared inventory valuation packages. Received letter of appreciation from South Central Region Purchasing Manager for moving $36,792 of obsolete merchandise during Purchasing Contest. Maintained DIOH (Days Inventory on Hand) of 29 days.
