Visual Coaching utilizing the Compression Planning method to efficiently problem solve and/or strategically plan with individuals or groups. Sessions can be done in person (preferred) or virtually. This process uses storyboarding to focus ideas quickly. The process separates expanding thoughts from filtering ideas, therefore removing judgement and creating a space that moves from talking about vague ideas to creating concrete action fast. The storyboard system gives flexibility, speed, creativity, focus, and buy-in. It catalyzes conversation by moving at the speed of light instead of the speed of sound. No longer needing a huddle because the storyboard allows all thoughts to be visually captured and shared instantly resulting in reduced conflict and increased participation from everyone involved.

Pressley Ridge is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1832, providing an array of services to keep children and families together so that youth with challenging behaviors can remain or return to their homes, schools and communities. Pressley Ridge provides services in Education, Treatment Foster Care, Residential, and Community-based programs to over 6,800 children, adults and families annually in six states. Run operations and coach programming for RowAmerica's 5th boathouse in Hamilton Ohio. This includes the youth, adult, and adaptive introductory programs (Intro), fitness/recreation programs (CrewFit), and competitive programs (Race Teams).

This is a contract position for June-December 2014 to scout athletes and programs for para-rowing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Travel to local program sites to see the status of adaptive programming or assess feasibility of developing adaptive programming• Discuss with coaches and directors about program development needs• Foster or strengthen USRowing's relationships with local rowing clubs, affiliate/supporting associations, and Veteran Administrations.• Collect and share best practices for programs, equipment and coaching• Work with program managers to ensure programs understand/have a path for high performance athletes• Meet with athletes to discuss goals, assist with recruiting efforts and scout athletes who may be interested in para-rowing development• Coordinate with USRowing's Adaptive Programs Development Specialist (Deb Arenberg) and Director of Para-Rowing (Tom Darling) with findings
