About Joyous Windrider Jiménez
Trauma-informed Somatic Coach: I work with clients to release stagnant energy and creative blocks, and I help them re-connect to their innate wisdom and vitality. Private and group sessions available. Artist/Writer: I am a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on spoken word poetry, creative writing, theatre and visual arts. I’ve just recently ventured into video production.Teaching Artist: As a teaching artist and workshop leader, I believe strongly in the innate creative ability of all humans. Art is a natural part of our human nature, a preserver of culture, and a means for our own evolution. I am also a creative coach with a passion for helping people resolve their own creative blocks to expressing their authentic voice. My teaching style is based on the trust of and respect for every individual's language, symbology, and experiences. I believe the teacher's role is to assist the student in discovering what is already inside of them. I base a lot of my coaching on peer-to-peer mentorship and reciprocal learning, and believe the best way to discover fresh ideas is to encourage novices to freely explore and develop their own ideas, rather than ideas imposed by an instructor.
