Assisted in the administration of degreed and non-degreed educational programs for adult students. Interfaced with over 200 program managers in providing career-related courses for some 80,000 participants annually. Instrumental in designing courses for the federal government, the armed forces, the American Bankers Association, the American Industrial Development Council and the International Drilling Contractors Association. Credited with developing the “University-Wide Continuing Education Plan for the 80’s”, an in-depth study which proposed to double adult education program activities during the ‘80’s by increasing the number of participants in 1989 to 150,000 and by increasing the annual budget from $10 million to over $35 million.

Under the direction and sponsorship of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), assumed responsibility for the conceptualization and preparation of grant requests for nonprofit organizations throughout Oklahoma. Developed and executed the state’s arts programming related to the nation’s bicentennial. Wrote one of the first Comprehensive Employment Training (CETA) grants in the U.S., effectively making the case that most artists meet the federal guidelines of being underemployed, and resulting in life-changing CETA funding to 17 artists the first year. Wrote grant to establish a Cultural Retention program for several Native American tribes, creating a partnership between the Arts Council, the Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission and the Center for Applied Linguistics in Washington, DC. Appointed by the National Endowment for the Arts as a panelist to select art work for the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Credited with creating a shift in the GSA’s Art in Architecture program which traditionally chose three to four works by nationally known artists when the panel selected 32 original works of art from Oklahoma and regional artists.
