As a Product Manager, I lead the Commercial and Growth Team over a portfolio of work focused on identifying, validating and designing products that empower informal retailers to grow their businesses. I work with UX Researchers, Product Designers, and Engineers to integrate strategy, design research, product design, and execution in the product development process.Accomplishments:- Led key research in 2 counties in Kenya resulting in an improved user-first approach to product development for our e-commerce platform, SokoYetu.- Spearheaded usability testing pre-launch for our internal sales tool resulting in a reported 20% increase in the ease of use and navigability of the app post-launch.- Conducted field user studies contributing to continuous product discovery to inform product optimization.- Developed the product strategy and roadmap for advertising on SokoYetu saw us successfully serve ads to 15,000+ customers.- Defined product analytics for the Commercial Team capturing customer acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics resulting in a data-driven approach to decision making.- Facilitated the first product workshop at Twiga to increase team cohesiveness and improve internal product processes and documentation.- Worked with BI Analysts to learn and write SQL queries to successfully migrate business reports from BigQuery to Superset.
