Together with a friend, I traveled through Turkey, Iran, the Caucasus and Russia in a Land Rover, and published both a series of columns (‘along the edges of Europe’) and separate articles about it on Reporters Online and in the Dutch weekly Elsevier.

Political assistance and substantive preparation for the European elections of 2014.

Besides assisting councilors with their portfolios, I was commission spokesman on welfare and social policy.

On behalf of the Eduardo Frei Foundation, I provided training to strengthen (local and regional) democracy in among others Ukraine, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina & Georgia.

Besides teaching German, I prepared high school students for their final examinations.

As an editor of Elsevier Magazine I've been writing articles about - and doing research in - several topics related to the European Union and foreign policy.

Participant in Model United Nations conferences at Harvard University (HNMUN) and Oxford University (OxiMUN).
