To become a Programming Coordinator was my main goal at FNG. When it was possible, I became responsible for two of our channels portfolio. When it was possible, I became responsible for two of our channels portfolio. During that period, I could develop my rating analysis skills (MMW and Yumi Software), study the main competitor’s strategy and to be able to identify my channel’s needs. In order to make FOX CRIME PT channel more relevant, our team reinvented the channel several times, working closely others departments. We completely changed our programming strategy when was need, building a grid and betting in new contents. I also worked closely on the new FOX COMEDY channel launch, studding others internationals examples and our main target likes and building a successful channel grid. In the first year, FNG Was able to triple the FX ratings, building a new and strong brand (FOX COMEDY) and consolidate the channel position on the portfolio. Show less

This was a transition period for FOX activity in Portugal. During that time, I worked as a schedule first for FOX CRIME channel and in the end for FOX main channel. My main responsibilities, in a time when most of everything were done manually in our software (ONAIR), were to define the breaks position, insert the commercials and promotional contents, and, as the last person in the line, I had the responsibility to assure that everything was correct to the final emission. Is was a work done closely with all the departments, with special focus on Programming, Marketing and the AD Sales Media Planning, created as the FOX business in Portugal grow exponesialy. Working in team, helping my colleagues with their needs, identify and solve problems and also explore and develop the ONAIR software were the basis of what I had learned. It was very excitant to work in a company like FOX that in those years were starting to develop a strong business base in Portugal, which means that, our works were always changing to fulfill the needs of all the departments. During my master degree, I decided that I should embrace radio journalism, and the obvious choice was TSF. During my four-month internship as a trainee journalist, I could work closely with the best radio professionals, not only with several journalist, but also with, many sound editor experts. As a trainee, I had not direct functions in particular, however, I could present works proposals during our daily meetings and develop it.
