After finishing my major in Philosophy I continued my studies in the field of literature. I've participated in Becas Lider, which is an Iberian American program for young leaders organized by the Spanish government and sponsored by the king. Following my participation in this program I was invited to join the Corporate Social Responsibility department of Bank Santander in its general headquarters, near Madrid. I worked there for one year. I then got an invitation to come back to Portugal, and join the Portuguese branch of the Bank, to work in the Communication department, specifically in the internal communication area. Eight months later I was asked to join Santander Universities, the Social Corporate Responsibility flagship area of Santander worldwide. In this position I had the responsibility of all Institutional Relationships between the bank and universities in Portugal. I worked there for eight years and, in that time, the bank grew to be the largest higher education benefactor in Portugal. While I was in this position I participated in an internal program called Santander Mundus and had the possibility to work for 6 months in London. This experience was most gratifying both personal and professionally.In 2016 I was invited to go back to the Communication department and become head of Internal Communication, position I currently hold. This was a very important time because the group, worldwide, was going through a big cultural change. It still is.
