We work with local authorities, developers and design consultancies to create memorable places that energise communities, where people belong.Founding director João Toscano is an experienced designer and manager, a Chartered Landscape Architect in the UK and a member of the French Federation of Landscape Architects. With over 16 years’ experience, he has a track record of excellence in the design and delivery of high-profile projects in urban areas. In recent years, he worked for well-known multidisciplinary practices, such as Project Centre Ltd where he was Technical Director, leading the Landscape and Urban Design department, and AECOM, where he worked in the Rio 2016 Olympic Park and was selected for the UK Emerging Talent Group. He also worked for established landscape and urban design practices such as Whitelaw + Turkington and Burns + Nice.Regardless of its size and budget, he views each project as a unique opportunity to have a positive impact in the local community. Responsible for design and technical quality, financial management, business growth and operational and strategic leadership of Project Centre’s Landscape and Urban Design department which has grown significantly in recent years (over 20 staff at my departure). Over the last 4 years (2019-2023), the landscape and urban design team has almost doubled in size and revenue, despite COVID.
