I have been in the Radiology field for 33 yrs and a dedicated Mammographer for 23 yrs. I have been in my current position roughly 16 yrs despite new ownerships and name / location changes. I left briefly for 1 and 1/2 years only to travel with my husband who was an active duty army soldier at the time. I am a very dedicated and a very independent Mammographer and person. I would say my best trait would be patience. I am what I would want in a Mammogram Technologist. I am patient, knowledgeable, proficient and experienced. Over the last 16 years, I have been in a center that only offered Mammography / Ultrasound (breast only) and Dexa studies as far as imaging is concerned. I have had to be be proficient in imaging, judgement calls, problem solving, QC/QA, accreditation and inspection. My second best trait is understanding and respecting the patient and their time. I strive to achieve the best images possible the first time around. With me, patients can expect professionalism, a quality study in a short period of time. I also want them to know that they are not just a number and I am attentive and caring while they are with me. Overall, I am please with all I am able to offer patients and my employer.
