I am a Senior Production Artist at PureRED designing covers and special features for a national manufacturing supply company's catalogs. My design skills are used as I layout images and text for our clients' creative projects.I am also a freelance illustrator using my drawing and design skills to help people tell their stories, whether it's developing a brand's image, bringing oral history to life, or capturing a special moment. I spent most of my working life in the bicycle retail industry. My favorite projects always involved graphic design: making advertisements, posters, designing cycling uniforms, and putting together emails and other promotions. One day it dawned on me that I enjoyed being a graphic designer so much I should do it full time.I wanted to make good designs, so I enrolled in UGA's Lamar Dodd School of Art with the intent of getting into the graphic design program. At Lamar Dodd, my artistic side was awakened and I renewed my childhood love of drawing. Once in the design program, I developed my layout, production, and typography skills, but focused my studies on illustration.
