Presence is an educational technology company that provides remote teletherapy services to students in K-12. In my role at Presence, I lead the instructional design unit and collaborate directly with the Product team and clinical subject matter experts to design and develop onboarding courses, product enablement resources, continuing education offerings, and clinical workshops for 2000+ clinicians who provide speech language pathology, occupational therapy, and psychoeducational services. Achievements in this role include:✱ Supervising instructional design team with 85% satisfaction on annual employee engagement survey.✱ Leading the selection, migration, and implementation process for Presence's learning management system, LearnUpon.✱ Overseeing the migration and management of product enablement resources in our knowledge base; 4.2/5.0 satisfaction on NPS.✱ Designing and managing ClickUp project management and ticketing system for the instructional design team.✱ Developing KPIs that are aligned with strategic imperatives; averages 90.11% on operational excellence index.✱ Revamping all provider-facing course offerings to follow digital accessibility best practices.✱ Leading the development and implementation of an elearning course quality rubric for use by the instructional design team.✱ Managing the design and development of the Operations monthly newsletter.

The Online Learning Consortium is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advanced quality in digital teaching and learning. In my role as Director of the Center for Professional Learning, I led over 50+ contract faculty and four instructional designers in designing, developing and implementing certificate programs, workshops, webinars, and online leadership development programs. I drove strategy and operations for my unit including organizing resources and creating efficient workflows. Through partnerships with the Consulting Solutions unit, my team offered customized learning solutions for a variety of organizations in the United States and in Latin America. Achievements in this role included:✱ Rebuilding the instruction design (ID) team; 100% of the team remained in their roles since 2016, providing our clients with continuity and exceptional service. ✱ Planning and executing three instructional design summits, all with exceptional evaluations. The 2019 conference was held in person and the 2020 and 2021 conferences were held virtually. ✱ Co-authoring Delivering High Quality Instruction Online in response to COVID-19: Faculty playbook and 2 playbooks for course design for faculty. ✱ Supporting the design and execution of multiple learning programs for instructional design and leadership development of elearning professionals in Latin America.✱ Launching a digital credential program in 2017 using Credly badging platform. During my tenure, 2,750 badges were issued within 18 categories for multiple professional learning programs. ✱ Driving adoption and launch of an open instructional design curriculum that generated nearly $1M over four years — this four-course curriculum played a significant role in helping to increase OLC’s revenue 48%.

As a part-time instructor, I teach “Managing Instructional Design Projects” for the School of Graduate Professional Studies.

Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational university with approximately 6,000 undergraduates and 2,700 graduate, law, and medical students. As Associate Director of Instructional Design for Quinnipiac, I collaborated with faculty to develop and support more than 80 online courses. Efforts included evaluating program structures and assessing quality standards. I also taught a graduate-level online Spanish course for the School of Nursing.Achievements in this role included:✱ Collaborating with a faculty member in the development of two courses that were reviewed and approved by Quality Matters.✱ Organizing the E-volution conference including developing the program, selecting speakers, identifying professional tracks, and managing conference logistics. The conference was attended by 200+ professionals. ✱ Developing and disseminating a strategic plan for the Instructional Design team in an effort to increase awareness and usage while also improving the team’s perceived value to the campus community.

As a part-time Spanish Instructor, I developed and facilitated the university’s first online language course, “Spanish Language for Healthcare Professionals,” which is focused on medical terminology and cultural awareness.

In this role, I designed and supported 50 hybrid and online courses each year. In addition to supporting faculty in developing proper curriculum flow, I also delivered faculty development trainings on the university’s technologies as well as online learning pedagogy.

The Adult Basic Education Distance Learning Project was a multi-year grant that supported the development of distance learning programs for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) learners in Massachusetts. As the Distance Learning Project Manager, I had oversight of six grant-funded state pilot programs. In addition to project management and instructor training, I also guided the Massachusetts Department of Education in developing policy for the Commonwealth. Achievements in this role included:✱ In collaboration with Project IDEAL, I conducted research to develop best practices in distance education for adult learners.✱ Developing and managing an online community of instructors who worked in the pilot programs.✱ Conducting onsite annual conference gatherings for pilot programs.
