Globally managed the Enterprise Storage Services (Engineering & Operations) organization (Team of 60+ staff) of the firm geographically dispersed, managing 45 Petabytes Storage (Mainframe, Distributed, and Backup) Environment.

• Managed the Enterprise Storage Services Distributed group for the Bank. Group was responsible for engineering, implementation, and daily operation of Storage Area Networks for the VMS, UNIX and Intel platforms. The SAN environment consist of over 10K storage ports on McData, Brocade, and Cisco switch platforms, and over 34 Petabytes of Storage across various EMC (DMX, Clariions, Celera, and Centera), IBM (DS8300 & XIV) and NetApp storage arrays. This environment spans 6 datacenters geographically dispersed throughout United States and Europe. • Lead a project to integrate the SAN storage infrastructure for the acquired Mellon Corporation. The project involved consolidation of 2 small Mellon datacenter into firm’s main production datacenters and configuration of several types of data replication for disaster recovery. • Completed a very successful integration of JP Morgan Chase Corporate Trust business unit into The Bank of New York. The integration consisted of migrating 60TB of storage and over 2500 users from various JPMC datacenters to BNY datacenters over a very short period of time. I architected and implemented a very flexible and quickly deployable storage migration solution that allowed for a successful migration of the data and the Corporate Trust business unit. This was multi-billion dollar acquisition by the firm and it was successfully completed due to the data migration solution that was deployed. • Played a critical role in the recovery of the firms storage and server environments after the 9/11 disaster, which destroyed the firms main datacenter. The recovery took several weeks and the entire production environment was successfully restored into the DR site. • Prepared and deliver architectural, standards, strategy and planning documentation / presentations to Sr. Management and various groups within the firm.

• Managed the Bank’s Windows Server environment that consisted of over 300 NT Servers and 2000 Nodes. Daily responsibilities included diagnosing and resolution of server problems, planning and implementing server hardware / software upgrades, capacity planning, and providing Third level network support to the user community.• Participated in a Steering Committee for the Deployment of Windows 2000 in the Bank. My responsibilities were to plan and design a Global Active Directory, which consolidated over 30 Domains into one Forest with a small number of Active Directory Domains.• Managed the Bank’s Novell NDS infrastructure that consisted of over 8000 nodes and 150 plus server ranging form Netware version 4.11 to 5.1 worldwide. Daily responsibilities included diagnosing and resolving server problems, monitoring server backups, planning and implementing server hardware / software upgrades, and providing third level network support to the user community. • Planned and designed Netware Directory Services for the Bank that incorporated the Bank’s Organizational Structure and Telecommunication WAN layout. This project included migrating the Bank’s Netware community to Netware 4.1 and NDS. • Standardized the Bank’s Netware Server Hardware and Software configurations for all new servers.
