Rendered Senseless is Earth's first interactive talk show (in space). Built in Unity and live streamed on Twitch, Rendered Senseless features an unprecedented level of audience interaction, with audience members simply typing in chat to join the show, clicking on the Twitch video stream to move, and using a huge assortment of text based commands for everything from changing their model to special attacks.My work on Rendered Senseless encompasses quite a few different areas, including:● Extensive Unity work: 3D/2D GUI (UI Toolkit and canvas-based) creation, set building, lighting, effects, game design (games within the show), QA, and more● Writing and project management: managing a multi-tiered Trello board (with bugs, fixes, ideas, and additions), development of show topics, interviews, things to talk about, creation of episode scripts for larger episodes, a Discord community including management of smaller teams of actors and people who help with the show● Design, streaming, video, and web presence: Streaming via OBS with a multi-layered scene setup, creating the assets needed for various platforms (avatars, about section, fonts, video graphics, gifs), editing shortened videos of the streams for social media and YouTube, social media management, Twitch account management (affiliate status)● Hosting and improv: hosting a live-streamed talk show and keeping the audience engaged and excited, managing a large amount of controls (stream, character, camera, audio, content) at once, creating stories and doing improv with actorsRendered Senseless is definitely my passion project and it touches on so many different subjects that I enjoy as a person. I worked with a worldwide team to develop and prototype a unique social application with an advanced 3D interface. I worked with my co-founder to achieve over $800,000 in funding over the course of development.This project involved an array of different skillsets, including:● UI/UX Design in Photoshop and Figma + coordination, collaboration with non-local programmers● Business management, including developer contracts, NDAs, business plans, taxes, partnership and subscription agreements● Outreach and meetings with investors for project funding - presentations, pitch decks, and mockups● Jira agile project management + biweekly springs with a team in the US, Germany, and California● QA Alpha Testing + survey development for accurate tester feedback● Early Unity Web Platform development, utilizing the Chrome Unity plugin.The project I developed with Texas Idealogics was very exciting, but suffered from an overly ambitious feature-set, a less experienced main team, and working with too-new technology. I'm still disappointed we were unable to properly release the project, but it gave me a wide variety of experience in managing startups, design, project management, testing, and working with remote developers.
