I am a member of the applications team in the SIRCI (Fare Collection, Fleet Management and Citizen Information Information System) operation, the information system that supports the Transmilenio operation, one of the biggest IT operations in Colombia.My main roles are to manage the smart card recharge network of the FCS (Fare Collection System) system, to manage the components of the SCMS (Smart Card Management System) system and to manage the SIRCI's Enterprise Data Warehouse.These responsibilities include system monitoring, specialized second level support (Problem Management), requirement analysis, design and development of new functionalities, and to perform integration tests between field equipment and central systems; some micro projects I have managed are:1 Data integration between the three fare collection operators systems,2 Rules system for fraud detection and card black list,3 Mass upload of advance deposits in external recharge networks, 4 Automatic balance transfer in smart cards,5 The virtual card personalization back end and6 Development of monitoring tools to automate system monitoring.In my role as data analyst, I design and build ETL processes to feed the Data Warehouse, create new data marts and create new OLAP reports, I also perform data analysis to identify traffic system trends and field equipment operation patterns.I have also participated in interdisciplinary teams inside LG CNS Colombia to analyze operational problems and build solutions to these problems; eg. I built the Automatic Ticket Generation System to service bus onboard devices, and provided data analysis of the feeder bus location issue in the city's southern neighborhoods.Currently, I am leading a Big Data project to implement a Hadoop cluster with a Hive Data Warehouse to exploit event data generated by bus onboard devices.

I was assigned to the following projects:First, "Davivienda PYME Phase I Portal", developing Portlets and Web Services in Java for Liferay Portal and web pages with Alloy UI.After this task, I was moved to develop the mobile theme for "Portal Uninorte" using Apache Velocity, CSS and Javascript.My final task, for the "ISS Portal" was to develop a Reports Portlet for Liferay Portal with Alloy UI, Portlets and JasperReports.

CDT Bentu was a startup company that I started with some colleagues to centralize efforts in the execution of freelance IT projects.Under this figure, I design, configured and developed in Joomla! the web portals for CDT Bentu Ltda. (http://www.bentultda.com), Saint Pedro Claver Parish (http://www.sanpedroclavercartagena.org) and Distribuciones Vicpimar Ltda. (http://www.vicpimar.com).I also designed, developed and executed the project "DAQ software for the Micros ABX 60 Hemoanalyzer" and contracted the IT infrastructure management at Distribuciones Vicpimar Ltda.

In this role, my main responsibility was to lead the Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering and Arquitecture programmes and to implement strategies to meet the Institutional Development Plan.To effectively drive the faculty, I developed and supervised the execution of the "Engineering and Architecture Faculty Development Plan 2008-2013". During the execution of this plan, one of its main goals, which was to strengthen ICTs transversely across the entire University, obtained sponsorship from the main stakeholders of the board of directors, which required an additional effort and the development and execution of the "IT Strategic Plan 2009-2013", which was later adjusted to reflect the new IT reality of the University with the "ICT plan PLANTIC 2011-2013".To execute these plans, I did not only managed the execution and monitoring and control phases of the software development / implementation projects from the IT plan, but also designed, developed, and deployed custom software projects for the IT Strategic Plan using many technologies (Java, C++, JSP, Servlets, Jade, JavaMail, VisualBasic, Jasper Reports, others); I also designed the e-learning concept to implement a mediated education model with Moodle LMS.I also kept my researcher role and participated as co-researcher in the project "Plantain Maturation Process Control and Monitoring", designing, developing and implementing a SCADA system (Java, C++, JSP, Servlets, MySQL).I also managed from initiation to closing the project to develop and present to the Ministry of Education the dossier (eg. Quality Conditions Documentation) required to create a new set of programmes by propaedeutic cycles, Information Systems Technology and Systems Engineering. The set of programmes was succesfully approved by the Ministry of Education.
