Adivised a number of companies on environmental issues arising in commercial tranactions, including mining acquisitons, chemicals divestitures and others. Advised global automotive company on EU motor vehicle air emissions requirements.

Advise the Climate Action Reserve on strategic positioning issues, including financial derivative matters, the adoption of new protocols, the administration of the forestry protocol's buffer pool and the program’s expansion to Canada.

Managed, structured and negotiated private equity and carbon credit acquisition and financing transactions, including (1) a joint venture with soil carbon aggregator SunOne Solutions, LLC and (2) the financing of a cook stove project in Africa.Negotiate terms of closed-end carbon funds with potential investors.

Helped establish Goldman's US carbon desk in New York:• Designed and implemented carbon origination and sales strategy: defined exchanges, asset classes, products, standards, supply channels and marketing targets for the business.• Originated, structured and negotiated private equity and carbon credit transactions, including (1) strategic alliance with Blue Source, LLC and (2) offtake of VERs with E+Co.• Gave presentations on carbon markets and risk management to bank clients and at industry conferences.
