This attitude has served me well throughout my life, like when I started my first business at 13 selling candy in the cafeteria or more recently when I optimized the accounting processes of a past employer to reduce manual input from over 3,000 to a few dozen.DATA ANALYSISI remember the first time I opened up Excel for an assignment and just scrolling through the rows and rows of data, it felt like I was in a trance just seeing those numbers roll across the screen. I have had a passion for data ever since. One of my favorite data projects is my master’s thesis, where I examined different machine learning models’ abilities to predict US recessions or when I created the research ROC utilities open source Python package where I recreated AUC and ROC Curve analytic techniques directly from academic research.PROGRAMMING SKILLSEveryone remembers their first “Hello World.” I was in the second year of my bachelor and was on freecodecamp.org. I felt like Linus Torvalds in that moment. That is when I started my journey with Python. Since then, I have expanded on these Python skills greatly to include SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java , cloud computing, and frameworks like ReactJS.
