Uber’s technology platform connects consumers with real-time ride sharing services, transportation services, and direct delivery of goods from restaurants, grocers, and other retailers. 𝐀𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫:◾ Establishing and driving Uber’s long-term infrastructure and cloud adoption strategy which includes full spectrum evaluation, recommendation and partnership with cloud vendors, future state architectures, and strategy for transitioning from on-premises to the cloud.◾ Strategic leadership over Uber’s Infrastructure capacity, efficiency, and cost-governance programs.◾ Architecting and leading an organization-wide Engineering Fundamentals program which drives customer and engineering focused quality initiatives across 9 critical product & engineering areas.◾ Driving an engineering-wide program focused on low-level technology adoption, migration, and deprecation.◾ Leading the learning & development program for Uber’s engineering org – focusing on engineer onboarding, productivity, professional and leadership development.◾ Managing engineering personnel and technology integration for mergers, acquisitions, and business development opportunities.

Broadly responsible for incubating and developing AI solutions for cloud-scale AI training and inferencing. These confidential initiatives sought to advance Azure’s capabilities in delivering differentiated AI solutions to customers.

The team was broadly focused on three initiatives – global datacenter coverage & expansion, product coverage strategy & roadmap for all Azure service offerings, and Azure’s resiliency, business continuity strategy & capabilities. These initiatives support the continued expansion of Microsoft’s cloud business by expanding the addressable market for Azure, Office 365 & Dynamics, improving product and infrastructure capabilities for customers, and by removing barriers to adoption as well as consumption of Azure.𝐀𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫, 𝐈: ◾ Developed and drove Azure’s datacenter region and product availability strategy – ensuring global consistency of regional datacenter architecture and availability of product for customers.◾ Grew Azure’s public cloud infrastructure from 18 to 54 regions globally –opening new markets in India, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Korea, France, Australia, China, UAE and South Africa. ◾ Optimized infrastructure build-out program to reduce datacenter go-to-market timeline by over 75%. ◾ Expanded Azure’s global infrastructure to enable Availability Zone support - enabling customers to deploy high availability workloads that are resilient to common infrastructure failures. The Xbox Live Services team at Microsoft delivers services that enable several of the core Xbox Live experiences such as game achievements, leaderboards, communication, cloud storage, multiplayer and matchmaking. 𝐀𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 – 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦, 𝐈:◾ Incubated, built, evangelized and launched the Xbox Live cloud compute service which enables game developers to offload multiplayer gaming workloads into the cloud. ◾ Launched critically important 1st and 3rd party game titles on the platform such as Call of Duty, Titanfall, Forza, and Halo – which used in excess of 100K virtual machines globally.◾ Managed critical business relationships with key game publishing partners like Electronic Arts, Activision, and Ubisoft. ◾ Lead the team through a division-wide service modernization initiative – re-engineering all critical services to REST-based interfaces.𝐀𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 – 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬: ◾ Responsible for services that are core to the Xbox Live gaming experience, such as the user profile, achievements, avatars, and cloud game saves.◾ Drove the initiative to migrate cloud storage to Azure and enable games to share state across multiple-devices. ◾ Managed the initiative to modernize all Xbox Live service APIs and create a standard REST-based interface model. ◾ Evangelized Xbox Live services and game development integration patterns at various industry and Xbox-sponsored

The Windows Phone Services team at Microsoft was chartered to deliver a variety of online services and tools that powered the Windows Phone experience. The team delivered various developer facing and platform services that facilitated integration with the Windows Phone application platform and Windows Phone Store.𝐀𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 – 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬:◾ Responsible for delivering an end-to-end web experience that enabled developers to establish business relationships with Microsoft, integrate their applications with the Windows Phone platform, and publish and monetize their application on the Windows Phone Store.◾ Drove end-to-end feature development of the Windows Phone developer portal which includes enabling developer registration, application publishing, certification, and lifecycle management within the store, reporting, and royalty payout to developers. ◾ Coordinated numerous cross-team, cross-organizational integration efforts for web site, application publishing, client-service API integration, commerce, and developer payout scenarios. ◾ Lead and managed integrations with multiple 3rd party services that provide support for various developer portal and publishing scenarios, specifically for areas of identity validation, code signing, application certification, and payout fulfillment.

The MSN & Windows Live Services team at Microsoft was chartered to deliver a variety of online services and tools that complement the Windows and Internet Explorer experience. The team delivered popular products like Hotmail and Windows Live Essentials. 𝐀𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 – 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 & 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬: ◾ Responsible for the service architecture, infrastructure, operations and developer platform features.◾ Lead and managed the cross-team effort to deliver a social connector platform that integrates end-user content from popular sites like Facebook and Twitter into the social updates platform leveraged across the Windows Live Suite.◾ Managed various service operations focused initiatives such as product performance, quality of service, capacity forecasting, data center expansion, network restructuring, data migration, and architectural improvements.

Application development manager responsible for leading 9 software developers and designing and building applications for data collection, analysis, and reporting. My team was primarily responsible for inbound data collection systems that were custom tailored for the Workers Compensation Insurance industry. These systems were Windows Server and Unix based applications developed in ASP.NET, Unix/Shell, Java, PL/SQL, and Oracle.
