Jean-Philippe "JP" Bürckert is the Co-Founder and VP of Technology of Ability Biologics (www.ability.bio) - A therapeutics start-up in Montreal working on logic-enabled antibodies as next generation therapeutics for immune oncology targets. JP also serves as executive Director for Voredos SRL, a Belgian biotech consulting firm which he co-founded in 2019. Voredos is the home of AIRRDB (www.airrdb.com), the patented, fastest immune repertoire database.Trained as a computational Immunologist, highly specialized in analyzing BCR and TCR sequencing data (Rep-Seq, Ig-seq, AIRR-seq) JP has gathered over a decade worth of experience in antibody discovery and engineering. He has developed specific algorithms for world leading discovery platforms such as OmniRatTM and SuperHumanTM, among others.JP established the Boston chapter of the International consulting firm BISC Global (now part of Excelera) and worked with over a dozen Pharma and drug discovery companies to enhance their antibody discovery and vaccine platforms.Until recently, he served as Director of Computational Immunology for Distributed Bio and Charles River Laboratories. Here he functioned as head of the Scientific Steering Committee and led the commercialization and improvement of their leading discovery and engineering platforms.
