The audit was 2 months behind project schedule so he proactively analysed and reviewed the audit progress & project scope and then applied strategic decisions to revise the audit plan in-order to save the audit; allocated appropriate human & financial resources, reassigned audit tasks based on priority and risk assessments, realigned the deadlines and executed strategic budgeting decisions that allowed the firm to successfully run the audit for the duration of the project. This done despite losing 50% of the audit team mid project due to the secondary firm dropping out of the project.
