• Led design for an in-house design and development team, creating new products for individual specialties such as plastic surgery, and made recommendations for existing properties.• Mobile was a major focus, and I designed the inaugural Medscape iPad application, and led up two redesigns of the existing Medscape iPhone application. • In 2011 I participated in the full redesign of medscape.com, including a markedly more usable mobile rendition. • One of my final projects was to redesign the membership sign up process, accounting for the global and specialty-based nature of the users, while supporting the objectives of the marketing team.• Co-ordinated collaboration within the team, and working with hands-on executives to achieve consensus on design, features, and functionality.

• As User Experience Group Manager I led discovery and brainstorming sessions with clients, conducted stakeholder interviews, formal and informal usability testing, created detailed functional/UI specifications, heuristic evaluations, personas, requirements gathering, site maps, interactive prototypes, taxonomy creation, and content structuring.• I worked and collaborated constantly with all members of project teams, including art directors, technical specialists, account directors, and clients. I led presentations of work, solicited senior stakeholder feedback, and negotiated consensus.• As a manager I was responsible for guiding the career development of direct reports and monitoring and mentoring them in their work. • As Senior Information Architect, I was primarily focused on project work for clients in a variety of verticals. • I established requirements for the interactive experience, working directly with key stakeholders, translated these into blueprints for sites via site maps and wireframes, and worked with the technical teams to realize and guide the resulting work.• The process was often a traditional waterfall process moving from requirements to IA deliverables, then moving on to front end design, technology, and finally QA. • Juggling multiple projects was common, as was negotiating scope and meeting hard deadlines.• Clients included Virgin, Tommy Hilfiger, Reebok, and Fannie Mae.

• On-site consultant for The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey based in the original World Trade Center.• Supported the business processes of the Port Authority design group. Projects included the creation of a digital photograph database for the thousands of photographs of the NY/NJ area dating back to the turn of the century, making usability and design specifications to improve the in-house database applications, and the creation of service design deliverables in order to improve complex processes.• Supported disaster recovery efforts following the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.

• marchFIRST was a global internet consulting group, and at one time the largest of it's kind in the world.• As an Information Architect on large projects I was an individual contributor within a team of IAs. I focused on producing deliverables such as task flows and wireframes as specified by business consultants within the organization.• Clients included Ziff Davis and LexisNexis.
