Hands-on management of the IT projects division of a regional IT consulting firm. I oversee and collaborate with a team of 7 mid to senior level engineers of various specialties on all phases of contracted client projects to make sure we are hitting our milestones and that the work is being done properly. I also act as the project engineer for many of the virtualization projects.

Was brought in to upgrade cloud offering platform and complete some stagnant client projects to better position the company for sale. I upgraded both hosting clusters to new hardware and latest hypervisor. I then designed and configured the fail-over, backup and recovery model. During my stay I also completed all outstanding paid projects and made improvements to the monitoring software and thresholds.

I was contracted to Crane Payment Innovations to provide infrastructure support and administration of their global data centers. My responsibilities included completing Maintenance and remediation of any data center system issues, completing enterprise projects, integrating acquired companies and interconnected systems, and running POC trials. Some of the larger projects included Global VMWare integration and upgrades, NetApp SAN deployment and re-architectures, eVault email archiving deployment, Global integration of acquired companies, SAP re-architecture, and PCoIP VDI trial and testing.

Troubleshoot and correct escalated issues. Perform new client assessments and recommend architectural and configuration changes. Spec, architect, and deploy entire IT environments. Maintain client relations and identify new opportunities. Perform onsite and remote maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring of IT services for multiple clients throughout the Long Island area. Consult on solutions that will best fit the clients needs, and provide training on implemented solutions. Architect, build and configure client systems ranging from networks, windows domains, servers, and workstations.

General handling of escalation of issues within NOC. Provide high level support to NOC engineers. Monitor, maintain and upgrade internal systems to make workflow smoother. Maintain and monitor ticketing system.Was promoted from NOC Engineer in February 2011 where I troubleshot and repaired lvl 1 and lvl 2 application, workstation, server and network issues. Clients environments ranged in size and complexity from single server 5 workstation clients; to multi location, 500+ user, multi-platform environments. Handled all issues assigned from start to completion including involvement of internal escalation or vendor support when necessary.
