Lewis Road Creamery is a premium NZ dairy business, with market-leading brand offers across Milk, Flavoured Milk, Butter, Ice Cream, & Cream. Reporting to the Chairman, I led a team of 22 across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance with a strategic focus on driving accelerated top-line growth across the NZ and US markets.- Implemented business direction and strategy that resulted in revenue growth of 14% vs. prior year of -4% and counter to overall category decline.- Significantly improved profitability via a reduction in costs across the P&L by identifying areas of opportunity and working collaboratively with supply partners on solutions.- Improved culture and reduced staff turnover by focusing on role ownership, personal development, and tools to improve communication.

Darrell Lea is a leading manufacturer of chocolate and non-chocolate confectionery. It is an iconic Australian brand and the parent company to RJ's Confectionery in NZ. I reported to the CEO - initially leading the international strategy (including implementation of a US entity) before being promoted to also lead the NZ sales, marketing, and customer service teams.New Zealand- Drove accelerated financial growth of 30% with revenue exceeding $55m. Elevated RJ's to No.1 growth company in non-choc confectionery and No.2 in total confectionery in NZ.- Implemented a consumer engagement focused marketing strategy, emphasising "Masterbrand" messaging and an enhanced digital presence for improved ROI – achieving a significant increase in trade and shelf presence.- Drove external rebranding campaign from RJ’s Licorice to RJ’s Confectionery, helping move RJ’s into wider confectionery segments therefore reaching a broader demographic.- Grew unprompted brand awareness from 2% to 9% through the successful rebrand and range extension of Fabulicious.International- Achieved a 260% increase in export sales, from $17m to $44m.- Established DL Distribution LLC, a full US division with 13 employees which, at the time, was the sole Australasian packaged food company with an integrated US retail supply chain.- Designed and executed a channel-based NPD strategy.- Led the US e-commerce strategy, with Amazon becoming a Top 5 customer and the platform significantly improving marketing capabilities and target consumer reach.- Secured significant global private label and co-manufacturing contracts leading to portfolio expansion.- Partnered with both NZTE & AusTrade, exemplifying best practices in International Growth Funding.- Expanded distribution to approximately 100,000 global points, including retailers like Walmart, Target, Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Loblaws, Sobeys, and Costco, garnering recognition from ExportNZ and American Chamber of Commerce.
