Project Engineer
CurrentI serve as a Project Engineer for the Onondaga Lake site in Syracuse, New York. I work with a team of engineers and surveyors to ensure that various capping machines place material in an efficient and accurate manner. I also work with various laborers to ensure that they can properly use the computer systems and help troubleshoot any problems they may have. My primary activities revolve around the use of various computer programs including Auto-CAD and Hypack, which can be used to create files used by the various machines and interpret data produced by said machines. A survey team is also used for quality control, and I assist with the on-site collection and interpretation of data that is produced. I am also responsible for the completion of Capping Management Unit reports, which consist of 3-D surfaces created in Auto-CAD to determine whether or not material placed within an area of the Lake has met the appropriate tolerances. These reports are used to determine if capping in an area has been successfully completed.
