Jamsheed is a practising barrister before the courts of England & Wales, the AIFC and Mauritius. He regularly acts as arbitration counsel and sits as arbitrator internationally. ˚Education: He holds an LL.M in international business law from University of London and a D.E.A. in private international law as well as a Ph.D in international arbitration law directed by Prof. Pierre Mayer from the Sorbonne Law School (University of Paris 1).˚Training: Jamsheed trained at a leading international banking and finance and commercial set of chambers in London and in the International Arbitration Group of a magic-circle law firm in Paris.˚Activities: He has assisted Jan Paulsson and Georgios Petrochilos in advising UNCITRAL on revising its Arbitration Rules and is familiar with all major arbitration rules and with the arbitration laws of several countries.He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, has been part of a Working Group drafting international arbitration law in Mauritius, and is currently Vice-President of the MARC Advisory Board and a member of the MARC Rules Drafting Committee led by Neil Kaplan QC CBE SBS.He has been Junior Research Fellow of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in 2004 and Senior Lecturer of French civil law (contracts and torts) at the Sorbonne in 2009, and now teaches International Arbitration Law and Practice in the LLM (International Business Law) of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.˚Practice: Jamsheed acts as counsel, arbitrator and expert witness and handles cross-border deals and disputes in various areas including business/commercial, corporate, financial, taxation, investment, insurance, technology, construction, energy, aviation, shipping and international law.Specialties: International Arbitration (Commercial and Investor-State)Business / Commercial LawCross-border Deals and DisputesCorporate and Trusts (offshore)Banking and FinanceInternational TaxEnergy and InfrastructureTelecoms and ITTechnology
