With Energiek Leren I support organizations that want to develop learning capacity to be able to contribute to the future. This requires practice in team learning, collaboration and future literacy. I won’t tell you how to do it, that would be teaching. We will develop the techniques and contents of the learning at the moment of learning. That way, learning becomes sustainable, and you will be able to incorporate the new skills.

Our methods are based on the experience that by learning to observe and distinguish a sound fundament for accurate social/emotional skills is laid.On the basis of actual questions and themes within a group we work with, we help you to develop and re-asses the skills you need for creating a stimulating social/ emotional life within the context of education and parenthood.We organize and facilitate workshops, coach parents and educators, develop trainings and courses.LOVO is the abbreviation of the Dutch 'Loopbaan Ontwikkeling Voor Opvoeders' and means 'Career development for educators and parents'.

Co-creator of the Panassembla initiative. We see a social transformation taking place based on a radical new worldview. Control and manipulation give way to participation, responsibility and consciousness. We see the need in people and organizations to be able to deal with this new reality. Wat we offer is collaboration for realization of this transformation.

Coaching third year students with external projects. Currently the project consists of the development of a mobile application for patients with a obsessive-compulsive disorder for the AMC (Amsterdam Medical Center) and Mediabunker. One day per week.

At Communication & Multimedia Design (CMD) I've lead a team of 40 mainly young and motivated professionals who provide competence and projectbased education to higher education students in the field of multimedia design, interaction design, interaction strategy, media engineering and industrial design. The course started in 2002 and attracts many students each year. Over the last years Avans CMD is chosen to be the best Communication & Multimedia Design course in The Netherlands.

A small part of my job at Avans consists of teaching Multimedia Design. In my lessons I'm coaching students to learn to understand the connotation of form. 'How do I tell in form, colour and typography what I want to convey'. I use various teaching styles (discussion, groupwork, experiencing, reflection, coaching) to adapt to the specific needs that come with the different learning styles that students have.

In the eight years that I ran graphic design studio 'Jan' I used empathy and collaboration to adapt to the needs of specific clients (City of Breda (cultural department), Utrecht University, Tielen BV Printing, diocese of Breda). The goal was to create visual communication that radiated the characteristics of my clients and also being fresh in means of form.
