Jean-Patrick Ehouman is an Ivorian Tech Entrepreneur and a community leader working on global issues in Africa. He is concerned by local softwares and apps and also african content.Basically a software architect, he is running Akendewa, a tech NGO and Tech Hub he started in 2009 and where his team and him are engaged in producing community apps (health, election, social engagement, ...) and teaching young Africans how to use technologies for entrepreneurship and culture of peace. His organisation is the biggest tech community in Francophone Africa with more than 1000 members.In 2013 The UNESCO awarded him as the first "UNESCO and CEPS Tremplin prize for Youth entrepreneurship and Culture of Peace in Africa", for his tireless engagement in using technologies for culture of peace and saving lives during the war in Côte d'Ivoire. In 2014, he was selected by President Obama and the white house as one of the 500 young african leaders for the Mandela Washington Fellowship Programme.On July 2015, he was honored by President Obama to speak after him to deliver an inspirational speech at the opening of the 6th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi.JP is also a blogger who write on his personal website (jpehouman.com), for Techmissus (a french tech blog he started in 2010), Jeune Afrique Economie (the french version of Africa Report - http://economie.jeuneafrique.com/tribune/404-tribune-telecoms/).JP is graduate in Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas.
