Contracted to Unisys to work at Large pharmaceutical company.Monitor network for unusual or suspect traffic using ISS managed portal.Monitor Symantec Antivirus software for over 55,000 clients globally.Manage Symantec AV servers and monitor Virus Definition updates.Provide Tier III support for AV and IDS related issues.Use Remedy/ARS for all problem and change management.

Provided system support for approximately 100 end users.Projects included designing and moving all servers to new datacenter.Re-designed outside connectivity to internet and clients. The new design retained a large client that was looking to end their contract.Installed all new servers running Windows 2000/2003 standard and enterprise versions including Clustered servers and shared storage maintained a 99.99 percent uptime.Implemented external SPAM filtering service on all corporate email domains resulting in about $5,000 savings from hardware upgrades and reduction of incoming email by 60%.

Freed receptionists to take on additional responsibilities.Re-designed WAN from Frame Relay and ISDN circuits to full T1 interconnectivity resulting in monthly savings over $1,000 in telecom fees while also increasing bandwidth and reliability. Onsite Consultant for large pharmaceutical company.Provided system support for approximately 1000 end users.Developed PC imaging process for rapid deployment of PC’s. Resulting in saving $75 per new PC doing the work in-house. This also saved time due to our image being more complete than the vendors.Responsible for in home installation of ISDN remote connections and VIP support.Managed project of network conversion from Token Ring to Ethernet. By coordinating conversion with installation of new pc’s this resulted in savings of over $20,000 in hardware and added expense of hiring additional contractors on a temporary basis.
