This role requires an engagement with multiple key stakeholders within Lion to ensure the successful execution of NZ market plans and delivery of the brand owner P&L’s. In this role I have contributed to the formulation of the Lion wine strategy and currently leading a project to build wine business acumen within Lion.

This decision-based process delivered; the demand forecasts (a key driver into production and commercial planning), surplus\deficit management of inventory (FG and bulk), and strategic grape\wine supply planning.Wine brands included; Montana, Stoneleigh, Jacobs Creek, Church Road, Richmond Grove, Wyndham Estate, Lindauer, Deutz MC, Huntaway.

Provided a management and financial accounting service to the operations executive. This included five wineries, related vineyards, and cellar door facilities. Implemented and managed the costing process for all wineries within Allied Domecq USA. Provided commercial support to the management of inventory, grape supply strategy, capital expenditure management, and the development of financial measures (ROCE). Managed the P&Ls and capital for 5 cellar door facilities. Involved remote management of four Operations Accountants. Wine brands included; Mumm Napa, Clos du Bois, William Hill, Bunea Vista Winery, Callaway Winery, Gary Farrell Wines.
