Major Programs involved Parts Cleanup/Consolidation project and Project Tracking Tool development.• Parts Cleanup/Consolidation: Eliminated and consolidated over 50,000 parts to 10,000 parts in the component database to remove unused, duplicate and incorrect parts and developed an ongoing process to capture accurate manufacturing part information in Logitech Agile PLM system.o Project resulted in saving of over $2.0M due to inventory reduction and parts consolidation, elimination and identification of alternate sources.o Project won company Continuous Improvement Award for cost savings initiative.• Project Tracking Tool: Is an Apex/Agile solution which allows program/project managers and engineers across the company access to the Component engineering internal schedule for component qualification. Defined project scope, developed project charter and specification, aligned priorities with all stakeholders, coordinated IT resources, managed all pilots/testing, lead feature enhancements, and achieved implementation on time and on budget. Developed via an international development team using Agile methodologies in Jira. o This program allows for more efficient use of the Component Engineer’s time by detecting and anticipating overload conditions. This allows the CE manager to reallocated work more efficiently.o This program allows outside users, such as Program/Project Managers and Engineers, to gather schedule and progress information instantly without having to contact and individual Component Engineer, thereby saving time and costs.o Increased Component Engineering efficiency to achieve a 45% YoY increase in CE team loading.

Technical leadership of cross functional teams in the development of power products for commercial and military aircraft and helicopters. Responsible for the technical execution and cost of the product in development including schedule, design to cost, internal and customer status meetings, program presentations to customers and management and preparation of bid and proposal packages for new projects.• Assumed responsibility for an ongoing Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA) design and led the project through successful completion of Qualification (DO-160) and product release.• Led development team in design of a 2.3 KW and 1.5 KW inverter for a military aircraft after program had been stalled due to staffing issues. Restarted program and led to successful completion of DO-160 qualification and customer testing.• Initiated development effort for an 8 KW inverter for use in a US fighter aircraft. This included initial proposal evaluation, compliance tracking and design up to and including initial design reviews with the customer.

Supervision of a staff of Electrical and Embedded Firmware Engineers and Technicians in consumer security product development. Responsibilities included new product planning, development and introduction, research and development as well as maintenance of existing products in the field. • Investigated alternate microcontroller solution which replaced existing hardware that was proving hard to find and expensive. • Upgraded firmware development tools and procedures. • Released Freedom Micro family, a total of 4 released products within the year.• Oversaw setup of manufacturing and test facility in China.

Responsible for the coordination of multiple projects in the Medical Business Unit of Planar. • Led the development of Planar’s first Thin Client workstation (Invitium). The Invitium was a fully functional Thin Client workstation which was fully certified to the applicable medical standards (UL/CSA 2601 and IEC60601-1).
