Focused on updating and enhancing visualizations of meteorological datasets to improve the delivery of critical severe-storm and fire-weather information to partner agencies such as FEMA

My primary duties included the production of public and aviation forecasts for North Texas and oversight of the successful dissemination of that forecast information. Additionally, I served as the shift supervisor, maintaining strong situational awareness and ensuring the well-being of others on duty. I occasionally issued severe weather warnings for the region, which can require an extended period (10+ hours) of rapid, intensive, and repeated analysis of multiple datasets (radar, satellite, storm reports, etc.). Despite short staffing, I effectively managed workload and operations to ensure proper warning of the DFW Metroplex on June 9, 2019, when a severe thunderstorm complex caused widespread damage, including the collapse of a crane in Dallas.My non-operational work centered on training staff on radar analysis and severe weather prediction. Additionally, I've enhanced the NWS footprint by providing severe weather training to emergency management and other local authorities around North and Central Texas.

My main duties included the production of national severe weather outlooks and near-term forecasts (mesoscale discussions) of severe storms and winter weather. Furthermore, I assisted in the development of severe weather watches. My non-operational work included the development of new graphics to communicate forecast information, as well as training of media and NWS staff across the country.I also collaborated with NSSL scientists on the development of radar-based algorithms for the enhancement of public safety and commerce. I co-led the development of a statistical radar algorithm that identifies zones of new thunderstorm development.

My main duties included data collection (e.g., weather balloon launches, snow measurement), data quality control, aviation forecasting, customer service / social media, and assisting with public forecast operations.
