The intended goal is to promote ground nesting birds, butterflies, and mammals to utilize these areas all while reducing the time spent mowing these areas, reducing the soil compaction in these areas as well as reducing fuel costs. NJDEP 319(H) Grant – WM15-003 Barnegat Bay Living Shorelines Demonstration Project Grant Award -- $200,000.00 Completed -- February 2018Applied for and received a federal grant, section 319 of the clean water act, administered by the NJDEP.
