R&D Engineer
CurrentI'm currently working as a R&D-engineer and a PCB-designer in applications of heavy duty industry. This includes currents varying from microamp to kiloamp level. Voltages from uV to dozens of kV. Multilayer boards. Combination boards with kW-level power sources and complex and sensitive mcu control sections: Bluetooth, touchscreens, ethernet, mcu, fpga, bga etc. to mention a few. I'm always keen to learn more and master new tools as well as experiment new ways to solve apart the traditional. I administrate a ECAD and part library and PCBA structures in ERP. I'm most familiar with Zuken Cadstar and Mentor Graphics Pads softwares as I use them on daily basis. I work with close co-operation with mechanical- and industrial designers as well as with prototype laboratorians and production engineers. The thing I really like in PCB-designing is the possibility and requirement to use creativity. PCB-designing is art and the PCB a piece of art. I'm also monitoring existing and evaluating new material in PCB and interconnection technology. This includes developing test methods and ways to control quality. Keeping connections and co-operation with material suppliers is an essential part of all this. I do HW-design and debugging in control level electronics consisting mostly of multilayer boards, digital electronics and measurement circuits such as voltage measurement, wireless current measurement, magnetic position sensory and laser sensory. This is the field which I'm strongly willing to develop my skills and knowledge to gain broad field of skills.
