Dr. Justin P. Jiménez (he/they) is a recognized transdisciplinary scholar-activist who combines insights from education, critical race feminisms, and decolonial thought to address the enduring acts and processes of violence and dispossession in teaching and learning contexts. With nearly 15 years of experience in higher education, they have developed and taught courses on the social and cultural foundations of education, critical theory, queer of color critique, and more. They have also mentored and supported students, educators, and community members through research collaborations, facilitation, curriculum development, program evaluation, and transformative leadership.As Academic Success Coach and a lecturer at Tufts University, Justin provides academic wellness and success advising to students, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, and helps them set and achieve their academic goals. They also coordinate the undergraduate peer tutoring program, enhancing learning enrichment opportunities for students. Justin is committed to promoting equity and inclusion in higher education by advocating for policies and practices that foster resonance, resilience, and holistic academic wellness for all students. They are currently pursuing national certification in coaching and launching their private coaching practice.
