Developing a RaspberryPi program which combines different sensors to act as a safety and trip recorder for pilots, drivers, etc.Developed an Android application to allow a home business to identify, track, and store items based on QR Codes read from the camera, along with pricing information and other general data pulled from the web.Helping friends and former classmates improve skills with OOP, TDD, Algorithms, and design patterns.

Development of a web-based scheduling and reporting tool used by rafting businesses currently operating in the Grand Canyon River. The calendar and reporting tool manages several launches of hundreds of passengers per day at peak season, for a multi-million dollar industry. The tool is pivotal in allowing these businesses to organize their activities in compliance with National Park Service requirements, avoiding massive fines and disruptions to profitability. The legacy software is Java-based, using EJB, GWT, Hibernate, MySQL and other related tools. The successor site (under current development) is Ruby-based using the Rails framework and PostgreSQL.

Continuing work in developing and improving curricula in the CS department, including changes to courses, documentation, and implementation of an automated code grading and feedback tool to aid students and instructors.Also, teaching assistant in the Computer Science department for CS249 Data Structures (using Java).Responsible for grading and student feedback on student assignments, tutoring, and some content creation/support as needed by the instructor during the school year.

Co-founded a startup company to develop software to assist the disabled community by increasing awareness of guidelines such as those required by the ADA. Created with a graduate student at Carnegie-Mellon University and with the help of interns from Pittsburgh University. Participated in all aspects of the project, but focused on design and development using Amazon's cloud services. Primary work took place using Java, the Spring Framework, PostgreSQL, and the PostGIS extension.Project was accepted into the 2014 NSF I-Corps and was working with multiple ADA offices. Project development has been paused, but may resume as opportunities become available.
