Brought on board to manage and perform software quality assurance as well as manage time and scope for each release to our sites. - Write and execute test cases for Avadim’s E-Commerce, consumer, and health care professional websites.- Collaborate with Development and Marketing teams to establish and improve processes.A major accomplishment in this position came via success in process improvements. By managing time and scope across projects and choosing a mix of Agile, Iterative and Waterfall processes to best fit the project, I oversaw more than 550 successful releases including 7 new ecommerce sites, 5 full site redesigns, a coupon serving plugin, multiple landing pages, and many maintenance releases. The process improvements resulted in a steady decrease in defects year over year: 977 in 2018, 521 in 2019, and 270 in 2020.The next major project is to take a harder look into web accessibility to ensure all sites conform to WCAG 2.0 AA requirements.While taking care of the above I've been able to:- Manage implementation of CCPA compliance across the websites and identified processes that would need to occur in the event there was an inquiry regarding customer data.- Plan, officiate and record results of PCI compliance scans.- Scrub data file and coordinate with our store finder vendor, PriceSpider to ensure the store listings for our products on our sites are up-to-date.- Verify analytics / payment data recorded / user and admin notifications are sent and other critical functionality across all sites with each release to the sites.

Hired to power up the existing quality team with modern testing tools, techniques and processes. - Responsible for the team’s direction, day to day work, as well as mentoring and team development. - Consulted with management, development, and project management teams to create the Quality Assurance Lifecycle. - Testing is prioritized based on what portions of the site have been modified. Exploratory testing methods are used to quickly move through the site and identify all issues, checklists (also developed) are then used before turning the site back over to the development team.The process follows the project until the site is approved and deployed. My team facilitated more than 40 full website builds, 500+ maintenance and enhancement requests, as well as hundreds of promotional emails through the QA process. With a team of two people, identified over 6000 bugs in 2015-2017 before they were able to make it to production. These efforts provided a dramatic reduction in the number of issues found post-release.It is truly surprising how difficult it can be to make sure clients receive a simple notification email when someone fills out a form on their website. - Created the Deliverability Test process to track, test, and report form entries during development and after launch. - Wrote and executed over 300 scripts using iMacros to automate entry of data into contact forms on our development and production sites. The result from these efforts? Clients can be assured they are being connected with their future customers when a contact form is filled out.Part of the testing lifecycle for marketing emails involves ensuring those emails actually make it to the inbox. Tracked and reported deliverability issues, consulted with the Marketing Automation team as well as our automation partner, Act-On, to increase placement of emails to the user’s inbox.

Originally hired to perform the “heavy lifting” when it came to the day to day testing tasks, I had the opportunity to take over the leadership, direction, and mentoring of the Quality Assurance team in 2010. Handling an average throughput of 20-30 projects in any given week (average 6-10 per person) I was responsible for the leadership of the team, recommendation of testing devices and environments, distribution of workload among 1-3 other testers, gathering and reporting of project statuses both from inside of and outside the QA team while serving as a fully functioning tester on the team.
